- The problem
- Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Sienna Hybrid 7-passenger vehicles. The second-row seat backs may fail to remain secured in the event of a crash.
- The risk
- A seat back that is not secured may fail to properly protect an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- The fix
- Dealers will update the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electronic control unit (ECU) software. For vehicles equipped with the "Mobility as a Service" (MaaS) package, dealers will replace the two second-row seat backs. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26TB24 and 26TA24.
